Rebecca

Hi, I'm Rebecca, an animal enthusiast from Canada. I have been extensively involved in animal rescue and rehabilitation as well as general care for more than 20 years. I have many years of experience working and volunteering in animal care facilities, shelters for domestic animals, and pet shops both caring for and advising on appropriate species care. I have also worked in wildlife rehabilitation centers where I have raised many birds and small mammals from a few days old into adulthood, cared for injured animals, and released them into the wild when they are ready. I helped to establish a wildlife rescue team in Peterborough, Canada in cooperation with the Toronto Wildlife Center. For many years I have provided foster care for both domestic and wild animals when shelter environments were considered too stressful for the animal(s). I care deeply for the well being of animals and always strive to provide the best care based on their own individual needs. We have a small rescue dog of our own as well as a little Horsfield tortoise. 

The animals I have cared for include:

Dogs - large and small, I love them all

Cats - Including fostering abused and neglected cats

Exotic birds from budgies, cockatiels, canaries, to larger parrots

Rabbits and a variety of other small mammals from degus to hamsters and hedgehogs

A rescued squirrel monkey

Cold blooded animals from lizards, snakes, tortoises, freshwater fish, etc

Wild animals including songbirds, crows, birds of prey, groundhogs, skunks, raccoons, and other mammals

Domestic animals such as chickens, ducks, and sheep

Important notes for gassi-service and home visits:

I serve exclusively the Rudolphkiez from Warschauer Platz to Dannekerstrasse.

Important notes for boarding:

My two children are natural animal lovers and are raised to respect animals and their space. That said, my younger child has some fears of larger/noisy dogs. Therefore the best fit for our home are dogs that have a quiet nature. 

Drop-offs and pick-ups can be arranged from 9:00-20: 00. If you can not pick your dog up by 20:00, please book an extra night and pick up your dog the next day.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 NOTE: To minimize contact, I am only accepting overnight boardings at this time. Meeting-and-greets can be accommodated outdoors. Drop off and pick-up outdoors only. Please be respectful of the 2 meter distance rule.
