About Me:My name is Erin and I'm the person who sees a dog on the street and gasping in excitement. I've been living in Berlin since November and have mainly been working on my German language skills so that I can eventually study a Master's here in sociology/gender studies/cultural studies.I've grown up with and am use to living in a house with four dogs of all different shapes and sizes, and dearly miss having this animal presence in my life. I'm currently not in a position to care for a dog of my own, therefore find the possibility of caring for other people's dogs so perfect! I'm full of care and affection and have a lot of experience with handling all kinds of doggos, especially in difficult situations (altercations at the park with other dogs, difficulties with feeding, etc), and have been dog-sitting for neighbors for years.

About My Place:

I'm living in Neukölln in a flat with three other people (all lovers of dogs) and there are two dogs who occassionally visit the flat for sleep-overs (both are quite old, very well tempered and calm, and never have problems with other dogs). There is a fully fenced courtyard area, which you can see in the pictures, and the flat is really close to Templehof and Hasenheide park, which are perfect for nice walks with a canine friend, whether they're staying with me or I'm visiting nearby

What I Offer:

Walks can be 30mins to an hour, even an hour and a half, depending on your wants and dog's needs. (I'm also confident to take them on bike rides if that's something your dog is practiced in and there is a safe area nearby to do that in). I can offer this twice per day for closer-by visits, but further away would mean just once per day is possible.

My availability is very flexible as I am taking part in a remote training that allows me to be anywhere and choose my own hours, - therefore i'm free to spend lots of time with your dog(s) and this would fit around care duties and playtime!

If you're living further away then I would potentially need to buy a Fahrkarte to be able to visit your home (as I travel by bike), therefore would need to ask for an extra fee to cover this cost. However, that can be negotiated and I'm not discouraged by cycling a long way in the first place, so just in special cases. In terms of your dog(s) staying with me, I can offer to care for them for up to 4 nights at a time, but would also consider longer periods on a case by case basis.

If staying with me, your dog(s) would be sleeping in my room but could roam the flat during the day and would be welcome to visit my flatmates. I can also make a bed for smaller dogs and have a large blanket that larger dogs could use, in case this would be sufficent as is easier than transporting beds.

I understand that all dogs and their human's have different needs and boundaries and very much wish to find the best way to respect them and have everybody be happy. So, if you wish for me to care for your doggo(s) then I would propose to have a conversation about their specific needs and usual rhythms, as well as your wants and expectations, so that we can create a clear idea of what's possible and best for your doggo(s)!
