Hi there!

My name is Amber and I'm 28 years old. I come from England and have moved to Leipzig earlier this year. 

I love this city but one thing that I have missed dearly is being around animals! Back in England, I was worked as a Veterinary Nursing Assistant at an emergency veterinary practice for 3 years, which I absolutely loved. This job allowed me to live out my passion and gave me so many different experiences with different kind of pets and animals. I learnt so much, from basic first aid and administrating oral and topical medication, to assisting in surgeries, to giving patients the much needed TLC they deserved. As you can imagine, many of the animals were worried, not feeling well or in pain, and it was so important to give them the love and reassurance that they needed. This also means that I quickly learnt how to deal with certain behaviours such as fear aggression and a lot of nervous behaviour. Therefore if your fur baby has any worries then this is no problem at all! 

I have always had pets in my household growing up, such as dogs, rats and guinea pigs, and also had my own horse in my late teenage years. Our dogs have always been rescue dogs. My elderly dog from England has diabetes, so have had lots experience with injecting insulin and I am comfortable with administrating injectable medication if needed. She is also blind and so I am used to adapting to this around her home and out on walks. And despite this, she is the sweetest and happiest dog!

I have completed a diploma in Animal Management at an agricultural college and this has also given me lots of experience and knowledge in a large variety of animals such as reptiles, birds, small mammals and large farm animals.

I love any animal, from bouncy happy puppies and kittens to older, more fragile dogs and cats and everything in between!

My services are:

Dog walking - dog walks are 45 minutes long and I can offer up to 2 walks per day.

House visits - these include feeding, administering any medication, cleaning out enclosures, spending time with your pet/ enrichment/ lots of cuddles! House visits are 45 minutes long each.

I am happy to pick up/ drop off your dog for walks and I have great dog walking locations nearby to me, such as the Lene-Voigt Park, Friedenspark and Clara-Zetkin-Park.
