Why I'm the right pet sitter for your furry friend. I'm a recent master's graduate in molecular medicine from Charité, now searching for full-time work here in Berlin. What drew me to pet sitting isn't just earning extra income... it's my genuine love for connecting with animals and providing them the care they deserve.

My experience with animals. Growing up, my family always had dachshunds. I loved training them new tricks, cuddling them, and learning their unique personalities and behaviors.

From ages 13-18, I gained over 5 years of clinical veterinary experience while aspiring to become a veterinarian. During this time, I learned:

• Recognizing signs and symptoms of illness in animals
• Proper animal handling techniques
• Preparing medications, injections, and vaccines
• Working in a clinical veterinary setting

Back in my hometown in the US, I also volunteered at a pet shelter and was a member of the Saturday dog walking club, where I regularly took shelter dogs out for walks and socialization.

I have experience caring for animals of all ages, but I'm especially experienced with senior dog needs. I've cared for many aging animals, which included:

• Managing multiple daily medications (up to 3 different times per day)
• Providing physical assistance when needed (help with stairs, mobility support)
• Respecting points of injury or sensitivity, avoiding touch in painful areas
• Understanding and honoring their need for personal space and gentle handling

Recently, I've also pet-sat for friends here in Germany, which reminded me how much I genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals.

My availability. I'm currently searching for full-time employment and will begin a part-time internship at a biotechnology company on February 1st. This gives me flexible availability to care for your pets with the attention and love they need.
