Stella

Hi there! We are Stella from Germany and Herman from the USA! I am 23 years old and currently working in Hamburg, my boyfriend is working part-time from home.

My family had dogs since I have been very young and when we were travelling in Taiwan together, we fell in love with a street dog (she was still a puppy back then) and we took her home to Germany. She is called Moro and she has been with us since almost two years now and we can't imagine a life without her anymore. 

Moro is a girl and gets along with any other dogs- we never experienced any problems (no matter the gender). But before, we can of course meet outside first to make sure they are fine! Besides me growing up with two very big dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks), Herman also had dogs before and is thus really experienced as well.

We live in Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin on the ground floor. Close to our home is the dog park in Fennpfuhlpark and Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg, where we go a lot with Moro.

These are the services we can offer: 

- Your dog can stay at our home. We will not leave you dog alone if they are not used to being alone. We are not students, but working (me full-time, Herman part-time) and at least one of us works from home every day so someone will be there 24/7. Except Herman and I and our dog Moro, there is noone else in our flat (no kids). While your dog is with us, we will be walking them two or three times a day (one long walk, one or two shorter walks). Please let us know what your dog likes (do they like dog parks? Forests? Walking in the field or in the park?)! We have a yard behind our house, but it is not fenced so we will not let your dog off-leash there, but rather go to a dog park if they need to run free. We will make sure that your dog can sleep comfortably here. You can bring their own blanket or bed or they can sleep on the sofa and we also have some extra blankets here. 

- We can come to your place and take care of your animal (in this case cats are fine also) if your pet is more comfortable in a home they know! Besides that, it is totally fine for us to take care of watering the plants/picking up packages or mail from the mailbox and finishing other necessary work around the house. Please let us know how long you want us to stay with your dog every day, we are pretty flexible as we can work from anywhere and also ok with just spending time with your dog so they don't feel alone. Furthermore, we will be deal with security around your flat in a responsible way (turning on lights at night if necessary, making sure everything is locked, if your dog likes to chew on things we will make sure there is nothing in reach).

- We can come by and pick up your dog for a walk. Our walks will be however long you want them to be, up to 2 or 3 hours and more than once a day if needed. 

- If your pet needs medication, we will be able to assist. Please let us know anything in advance!

- We are not professional dog-hairdressers :D but happy to comb or shower your dog if they like it or have long hair.

- We can take care of several dogs at once, depending on how comfortable your dog is with other dogs. Of course we will make sure the dogs get to know each other first and get along. If you have more than one dog, we can of course take care of all of them 

Because we are travelling a lot and also by plane, we don't always take our dog Moro with us and that's how we actually found Pawshake. Now we want to give something back - give dogs a home while you are on holiday or at work, or just taking them for walks, as we are mostly working from home anyway. If we were to take care of your dog, we would of course make sure to accommodate eventual medical conditions, routines that you have and in general anything that you consider important for them!
