Hi Berliners,
my name is Martina, I am Italian, class 1990, based in Berlin since 2018. I live in Franfurter Allee, together with my boyfriend and our red cat Theo who is my joy (the cat, not the boyfriend of course :P). I work mainly from home, for Zalando, and my cat makes me a lot of company the whole day (and night by not letting me sleep). My entire life in Italy was marked by pets: I had cats since I was a child and in the past 15 years our 3rd sister has been Lola, the sweetest dog in the world who I miss everyday. Plus, my "human sister" and borhter in law have an old cat boy, Dostoevsky, who is not so sweet, but love is love ;)
I am huge fan of the animal world - and I don´t joke when I say sometimes I prefer animals than human beings - and if I would have the possibility and I would definitely increase the family. Nevertheless, as most of you, I am an expath and I have to deal with several difficulties when I have to leave my baby boy. So I really believe and support the figure of the petsitter and I decided to offer myself for helping parents who need someone to take care of their pets.
I am quite flexible with the timing, as long as I am not far away from the house to visit and I know the schedule in advance. I would prefer early morning and late afternoon/evening as shifts, but this can be define with the pet´s owner, based on the needs.
I am already helping other expaths who live around me to take care of their pets when it is needed and it is first of all a pleasure: to not leave the pet alone and to make the parents calm and happy.
I am very experienced on how to deal with cats who live in apartements, and I love play with them, cuddle (I could continue forever), brush their hairs and get familiar with their typeface. We all know, each pet is unique and everyday is a discovery with them. I am also aware of the importance of keeping the environment safe: I check windows are closed, all dangerous gods hidden from the little fellow and, as long as the owner says something different, leave the doors open to leave more space to walk. I also believe is important to inform the neighbours about my presence, if they will suddenly start seeing me coming to home.
I am Italian mother tounge, I fluently speak English and Spanish, good French, a bit of German. I am covid vaccinated, normally work from home, and I use my bike to move around the city. I am very talkative and responsive via phone and email and familiar on how to manage and keep the house clean. I would be more than happy to have further discussion via phone and/or in person to better understand your expectations and needs.
I look forward to hearing from you, do not hesitate to ask if you have questions and thank you if you will decide to trust on me.
Cheers,
Martina

Martina was a great sitter for our two cats. She took the job very serious and kept us updated every day with photos and videos. She let them have a little relaxing time on the balcony and spent time playing with them. We were really happy to have her.
Came home to two happy and well looked after boys!
