EXPERIENCE -- Aside from caring for my own dogs and my friends+family dogs privately, I also have experience volunteering at animal shelters in the Philippines and Austria. There I was a part of the "dog rehab" team, where I handled dogs with trauma and/or behavioral issues ranging from extreme anxiety to fear-based aggression and more. On top of that, my own rescue dog Mira struggled with her own reactivity issues, which we spent years working on at in-person training classes. I'm well-versed in topics like clicker training, relaxation protocol, muzzle training, trigger stacking etc. I would also study on my own time and read books about dog psychology, watch content, online communities and more. However please note that I am not a certified trainer.

DOGSITTING -- With all that being said, I understand that one of the key factors to a happy and healthy pup is consistency. I'll follow their normal routine to the best of my ability - always looking out that they feel safe in their new (temp) home. I'll make sure they get the full package, from long walks in the forest to enrichment games and food puzzles at home. My approach is flexible, always using positive reinforcement and respecting your dogs needs - e.g. Affectionate dogs get cuddles, anxious ones get space, active ones get long hikes, lazy ones get couch time OR all of the above ;)

LOCATION -- I live alone with no other pets in a 2-room flat in Schöneberg, 4th floor with an elevator + balcony. I'm only a 2 min walk from a small park, 3 min walk from the next animal clinic, and a 10 min walk from the giant Tiergarten forest (see my pics!) where there are loads of options to either have some peace and quiet by ourselves, or find other dogs who want to play. I also have a car and love to drive outside of Berlin on the weekend to go on long hikes! I do work as a full-time art director and have a mix of WFH and office days, so depending on the duration of stay (and if they're comfortable) I can take them with me or leave them at home. Again, whatever works for your pup.

I ask dog parents to be FULLY TRANSPARENT with the specific needs of your dogs and any issues I need to be aware of up front please, so I can care for them in the best way possible.
