I'm a 40+1 (the last year doesn't really count!) year old Portuguese woman that speaks English, some German, some Italian, some Spanish and understands French. After living in many countries in Europe I've landed in Berlin 4 years ago (although I had lived in Bremen long time ago for 5 years).
I'm a atmospheric researcher (currently looking for a new adventure ... aka a new job), food enthusiastic and passionate traveler.
I love animals. As a kid I could only have fishes, hamsters and turtles (one still lives after 30 years!). As soon as it was possible I got a cat which was my companion for 12 years, moving with me to 3 different countries before coming back to Germany.
I have traveled a lot (when that was a thing) I know it's not easy to leave your pet(s) home alone and how important it is to have a reliable sitter while traveling. (Been there done that!)
While you are away I will make sure to keep your furry friend happy, giving him all the love needed. I'll play and cuddle with your furry friend as much as he wants and needed.. or just be there keeping my "covid distance" if that's their thing.
I can send as many updates on your pet as you want/need... thanks to smartphones a photo or video is just a short click away!
I'll also water your plants and do my best to keep them alive.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Joana was amazing with our two cats. She is very attentive, reliable and flexible. Our communication was effective, she sent fotos and videos everyday and we had absolute no worries while we were traveling. We totally recommend her :)
Joana helped us out last minute with our kitties over the weekend. She is wonderful with cats, kept us up to date, and we could relax while we were away knowing our cats were in good hands! Our cats are on the raw diet and she had no problems with the special feeding schedule. Thanks a bunch!
I had a cat for 12 years that was diabetic in the last 5 years of his life, taking medication regularly (namely insulin injections) and with very particular diet restrictions. I have now a young one that has behavior issues and needs lots of attention. I also foster cats regularly and have been regular sitter for many friends. I understand that not all cats need cuddles or are ready to welcome strangers from hour 1 but still need human presence for some comfort or just entertainment.
