I'm Ekin Tümer, a freelance writer, translator, and editor originally from Istanbul, now making my home in Berlin. In 2022, I published "Dört Ayak Üstünde (On All Fours)," a novel that delves into the behavior of dogs and the unspoken bond between humans and their canine companions. Over the past decade, my 10-year-old Labrador Retriever, Robin, has been by my side, known for his friendly nature with both dogs and people. Taking care of friends' dogs for extended periods has deepened my understanding of their well-being, while managing Robin's allergies has made me keenly aware of their dietary and health needs.

Having lived in Istanbul—a city where stray dogs are part of everyday life—I also looked after neighborhood strays, which further enriched my experience in caring for dogs from diverse backgrounds. I'm dedicated to creating a safe and engaging environment, promoting physical activity through enjoyable walks and playtime. With a genuine love for dogs and a detail-oriented approach, I ensure every dog in my care feels secure, content, and genuinely cherished.
