Hello! I’m Alice, a 28-year-old Italian PhD candidate and animal lover. My daily routine meets pets' needs perfectly, as I spend many hours working from home and I enjoy long walks in Berlin’s beautiful parks. As I travel quite often, I cannot adopt a dog myself (yet!), but I love being around animals. 

About my experience: I’ve grown up with dogs and horses in Italy and in my adulthood I’ve been petsitting regularly. For two months last year I’ve lived with and taken care of two lovely Norwegian Forest cats, one of whom required extra care and gentleness due to past trauma. Among others, I’ve looked after a deaf French Bulldog - a sweetie who has taught me a lot about canine communication and body language. Other dogs I’ve walked and fed on a daily basis for quite some time are a gentle Golden Retriever and a very active Border Collie mix. I also have experience with rescued Galgos and with Whippets, and I am very aware of the specific characteristics and needs of sighthounds in general (I am particularly fond of literally any sighthound breed - Borzois and Silken Windsprites are my dream dogs!). 

About my apartment: I live in Schöneberg (rote Insel) in a spacious 50 sqm flat with a balcony (secured, but your dog will be able to access it only under my supervision, while I don't allow cats out) and a fenced backyard shared with the neighbours. In the nearby area there are many lovely parks. Please notice that, although I am used to big dogs, I am a petite woman (1,56 m x 41 kg) and I cannot handle dogs that pull on the leash. Well-behaved, house-trained dogs of all sizes are more than welcome (:

For dog walking, home visits, and house sitting: Please be aware that I would prefer to stay in the nearby area or move exclusively to well-connected spots. 

For dog boarding and day care: As any pet has specific needs and habits, they should come together with their bedding, food, treats, leash, and various necessities (e.g., blankets, toys, poop bags or litter box, or even a kennel if they are used to sleep in there). I don't accept puppies at my place nor dogs with behavioural issues.
