I am an animal lover with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes  and 10 years with cats —yes, even the ones with a feisty personality! I currently have a cat and have previously owned both dogs and cats, so I know just how much love, patience, and attention pets need. While you’re away, you can count on me to make sure your furry friends are not only safe but also feeling happy and entertained .&nbsp;
I’ll also look after your home by keeping plants watered  and ensuring your space is just as you left it. Hi! My name is Maria, and I recently moved to Germany from Brazil. As a lifelong animal lover, I have always found joy in caring for pets, especially dogs. I have had dogs throughout my life, including a Great Dane, a Dachshund, a German Shepherd, and a mixed breed. This diverse experience has deepened my understanding of different breeds and their unique needs.

I miss my dogs dearly, and I believe that caring for and spending time with other dogs will be a wonderful way to fill that gap in my life. My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from my passion for animals and my desire to provide a loving and safe environment for them while their owners are away.

I have experience walking and looking after dogs of different breeds and sizes, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and love they need. I am committed to maintaining a healthy environment for pets and will only accept vaccinated pets into my home to ensure their safety and well-being.

Da ich in meiner Wohnung leider keine eigenen Tiere halten darf (ein Aquarium zählt nur so halb), nutze ich jede Gelegenheit, mich um die Vierbeiner von Freundinnen und Nachbarinnen zu kümmern – und das schon seit mehreren Jahren. Ich bin als Katzensitterin in Köln-Ehrenfeld unterwegs und bringe inzwischen rund vier Jahre Erfahrung mit. Auch mit Hunden komme ich gut klar – zu Hause bei meiner Familie lebt unser Familienhund, den ich sehr vermisse.

Meine Motivation als Tiersitter:in zu arbeiten rührt vor allem von meiner tierfreundlichen Art. Gerade wenn Menschen beruflich verhindert sind oder mal in den Urlaub fahren wollen, sollten Tiere nicht darunter leiden. Und zum Aufpassen gehört halt mehr als nur Füttern, sondern auch Zeit mit dem Tier. Es sind soziale Wesen, die ihre Lieblingsmenschen vermissen. Alle bei denen ich bisher auf Ihre Tiere (Katzen, Hunde,...) aufgepasst haben, haben mich bisher immer wieder angesprochen. Ich bin für eine Katze schon seit über zwei Jahren am Stück die Bezugsperson, wenn ihre Menschen in den Urlaub fahren. Dabei besuche ich 1-2 mal am Tag die Wohnung und kümmere mich neben dem Sauber machen und Füttern auch spielerisch um das Tier. Ich hab in meiner Vergangenheit auch schon als House Keeperin gearbeitet, deswegen ist mir Sauberkeit sehr wichtig.

Tiere um mich zu haben, mit ihnen zu spielen und einfach Zeit zu verbringen, macht mir riesige Freude. Ich bin eher ruhig und passe mich gerne dem Tempo und den Bedürfnissen der Tiere an – natürlich immer in Absprache. Medikamente verabreichen ist kein Problem für mich, nur bei Spritzen überlasse ich das lieber den Profis.

Zuverlässigkeit ist mir super wichtig – auf mich kann man sich verlassen. Ich freue mich über jede neue tierische Bekanntschaft und ein nettes Kennenlernen vorab!

Ein bisschen mehr zu mir: ich lebe seit 10 Jahren in Köln und habe im Bachelor Medienwissenschaft studiert und im Master Gender und Queer Studies. Aktuell mache ich ein Volontariat (Ausbildung zur Redakteur:in). Also ich bin im Journalismus tätig. Ich bin 31 Jahre alt und werde im September 32. Zu meinen Hobbies gehören Schach und mit Freund:innen Zeit verbringen. Aktuell trainiere ich zudem für einen Marathon im Oktober.

Meine Umgebung: Ich habe viele Parks bei mir in der Nähe hier in Ehrenfeld, ob Blüchler Park (5min zu Fuß entfernt) oder der Grüngürtel (10 min).
