Top cities for house sitting in Germany

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Horn home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Horn.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Horn home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Good day!
My name is Joaquin, I am an Argentinian currently living in Hamburg. I studied sports coaching and I am also a certified scuba diving instructor, so I am a very active, responsible, and energetic person. I truly love animals ️ and being around them has always been an important part of my life.

Back in Argentina, I used to take care of different kinds of pets, mainly dogs such as bull terriers, labradors, and shih tzus, but I also looked after cats on several occasions. Through these experiences, I learned how to adapt to each pet’s personality, needs, and routines, always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

Now that I am living in Hamburg, I would love to continue doing what I enjoy while earning a second income and, most importantly, giving your furry friends a fun, caring, and trustworthy environment. Feel free to message me for any inquiries—I’d be happy to help!

I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and understand that every dog is unique. I provide professional dog walking, home visits, feeding, and overnight stays, always focusing on safety, consistency, and emotional well-being.
During daily walks, I adapt the pace and duration to your dog’s age, health, and energy level. Active dogs receive engaging walks and mental stimulation, while senior or shy dogs are given a calmer, more gentle approach. I carefully observe body language and behavior to ensure each dog feels comfortable and secure.
For home visits, I follow feeding schedules precisely, refresh water, provide playtime, and maintain a clean environment. I am experienced in administering oral medication as instructed and adjusting routines for dogs with special needs.
In emergencies, I remain calm and act responsibly, immediately contacting the owner and seeking veterinary care if required.
What makes my service unique is my structured yet warm approach: I combine discipline, attention to detail, and genuine care. I also provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.
I am punctual, non-smoking, physically active, and happy to arrange a free meet & greet before the first booking.

With flexible working hours and a genuine love for dogs, I’m offering

I offer home visits and dog walking, overnight stays. During home visits, I focus on spending quality time with your pet, feeding if needed, refreshing water, checking that everything at home is in order, and making sure your pet feels calm and comfortable.
