Top cities for house sitting in Germany

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Kelsterbach home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Kelsterbach.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Kelsterbach home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

🫶 Hi! I’m Aidar, 30 yo, MSc in Physics, working as a software developer, living with my partner Tima. As a registered provider, I treat every dog as a valued guest, taking the time to understand their unique personality and ensure they feel relaxed while waiting for their beloved humans. I have a Certificate of Competence in Animal Care (Sachkundenachweis), practical experience with dogs, including my princess who was born on the street and had numerous fear and anxiety issues.
️ I live in a 2-room apartment with a balcony, which will be shared with my own dog (female, 7 years old, medium mix, neutered). She is calm, non-confrontational but still shy. Dogs can be kept together or separately, depending on your preferences.
I work mostly from home, so I can keep a close eye on the little ones. Two large parks are within a 5-minute walk: Alter and Neuer Rebstockpark. One of them has an off-leash area where dogs can play freely. For longer walks, it’s possible to reach Nidda and Bretano Park.

Please provide the following information in advance
- Attitude to other dogs. Males? Females?
- Time they can be left alone for
- Required walk per day? Potty breaks?
- Can they calm down and relax if humans are busy?

I have always been a dog person and grew up in a home where dogs were part of the family. This early exposure naturally turned into hands-on experience over the years. As a teenager, my family regularly hosted dogs for short stays, and I was actively involved in their daily care; feeding, walking, and making sure they felt comfortable in a new environment.

At 18, we adopted a puppy, and I was the primary caregiver during the first 8 months. This gave me valuable experience in managing routines, providing constant supervision, and working on basic training such as house training and simple commands. I’m comfortable with different dog personalities and understand the patience and consistency needed to care for them.

I can make sure your furry baby/babies gets sufficient outdoor time through regular walks and activity. I typically go for 2–3 walks a day depending on the dog’s needs, including at least one longer walk for exercise and stimulation. I focus on maintaining the dog’s usual routine as much as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure.

I am attentive to a dog’s behavior and well-being, and I stay calm and responsible in unexpected situations. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions, including feeding routines, medication if needed, and ensuring a safe environment at all times.

I’m currently based in Wiesbaden, Germany, and I truly miss having a dog around. Pet sitting is a way for me to stay connected to something I genuinely enjoy while also helping pet owners feel at ease when they are away. I aim to create a safe, calm, and caring environment where dogs feel secure and well looked after.
