Top cities for house sitting in Germany

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Sprockhövel home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Sprockhövel.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Sprockhövel home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello and welcome to my profile!
I’m Paulina, a reliable and experienced dog sitter based in Witten, and I’m so glad you’re here.
With over six years of hands-on dog sitting experience and four years of raising and training my own Australian Shepherd–Border Collie mix from puppyhood, I bring a grounded, thoughtful, and flexible approach to caring for your furry companion. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else and I treat every animal like they’re my own. ️
I specialize in dog care, working with all breeds and personalities from energetic pups to more sensitive or shy dogs. I personalize every experience to match your dog’s needs, training routines, and daily rhythm. Whether they need structure, gentle reassurance, or extra playtime, I adapt to what works best for them.
I live in a green, dog-friendly area with lots of nearby walking routes. I work from home, so your dog will get plenty of presence, attention, and time outdoors throughout the day. I’m also confident with administering oral medication and supporting dogs with specific needs or behavioral quirks.
Over the years, I’ve also cared for other animals, including cats, rabbits, turtles, and even parrots so if you have a non-dog pet that needs gentle, trustworthy care, I’d be happy to support you too.
Here’s what I offer:
Dog walks (30 minutes to over an hour, depending on energy level)
Drop-in visits or extended daytime stays
Personalized care that aligns with your pet’s routine
Oral medication administration
Calm, respectful support for sensitive or reactive pets 🤍
If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, understands behavior, and can offer calm, reliable care—you’re in the right place.
I’d love to hear more about your pet and how I can support them best. Let’s connect!

Hi, I'm Nadya, I'm a 24 year old animal lover. I have extensive experience taking care of my two cats: a 11 year old Angora baby and a 4 year old orange tabby. Additionally, I have cared for my brother's two large Akita dogs. I am a reliable and friendly person, and my love for animals extends even to insects. I would love the opportunity to take care of your lovely pet and ensure they receive all the attention and affection they need, also I'm committed to ensuring that your dog/cat/another animal receives all the attention, and affection they need to stay happy. Whether it's going for walks, playing games, or just with my company, I am dedicated to making sure your pet feels loved and well cared for. And will follow your rules 100% to make sure your pet doesn't have stress of any kind. :)
I speak English, Spanish and right now learning German more and more!

Hallo!

Hi, I’m Angela, a 24-year-old animal lover!I had a cat named Romeo—a vital part of my family—and thanks to him, I’ve realized how crucial it is for animals to maintain their routines and receive love and attention, especially when their owners are away. I’ve also recently welcomed two budgerigars: a male named Vincent and a female named Sien. Their liveliness and curiosity have further confirmed to me how rewarding it is to care for different types of creatures while respecting their individual paces and needs. This realization inspired me to offer pet-sitting services so I can provide that same level of care and affection to other animals. I have had three pet-sitting experiences so far; though few in number, they were enough to show me just how much I love this work! I truly enjoy it, and every animal I’ve cared for has brought me joy and a sense of fulfillment. My main priority is the well-being and happiness of the animals I have the privilege of looking after. I pay close attention to their daily habits and ensure they always have food, water, and everything else they need. I am not qualified to administer medication, so I do not handle that aspect of care. However, I do dedicate time to playing with them, cuddling them, and offering reassurance to help ease any anxiety caused by being away from their owners. I am happy to adapt to each animal's specific needs and provide regular updates to owners, giving them peace of mind while they are away from their four-legged friends. When it comes to walks, I take out a maximum of two dogs at a time. Each walk lasts about an hour, though I am flexible and happy to adjust based on specific requirements we can agree upon together. I am also available to spend time with your pets in your home, whether to supervise them or simply keep them company.
