I am a foreign Ph.D. student in Marburg and have no pets here, which is very sad to me. I'm 29 years old and I've always had dogs and adopted a cat for a time. So while I have a lifetime's experience with dogs, I also love cats. I consider pets a serious responsibility and will tend to its needs the best I can. Here in Marburg I used to regularly petsit an unfriendly cat, I would clean, feed, and spend time with it. I respected the cat's distance while working to make her comfortable until she warmed up to me and we became close. I adore friendly pets and will never get tired of playing with them, but I understand not all pets are like this and will do my best to respect the pet's needs and wishes while caring for it the same. I prefer to petsit at the pet's home, so of course I will respect the owners privacy while I'm there. My calendar is flexible so I'm usually available on mornings and evenings and can do a quick visit or stay for longer. For dog walks I can walk them up to 30 min near their home. I can give medication and groom pets, and don't mind watering plants/bringing in mail and such.
