About Monica
Hi, I’m Monica! I’m a postdoctoral researcher in neurophysiology and an animal lover living in Eppelheim. I know how reassuring it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet, and I’d love to provide that peace of mind while you’re away.
Animals have always been part of my life. Over the years, I’ve had a hamster, two rabbits, cats and a dog. I’ve also cared for other people’s cats and dogs and spent a whole month looking after a lovely lop-eared rabbit (a really enjoyable experience)!
I take a patient, gentle approach and respect each animal’s personality. Whether your pet is playful, shy or happiest with quiet company, I’ll follow their routine and give them time to feel comfortable.
Dog walks can last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on your dog’s needs and energy level. Eppelheim has plenty of green spaces to explore, and I also have a garden. Home visits can include feeding, fresh water, litter-box cleaning, playtime and company, with the duration agreed before booking.
I offer overnight stays in my home. I have a very calm female cat, so I can only host pets that get along well with cats. We can arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand to assess whether it’s a suitable match.
During the week, I work in a laboratory, so pets staying with me need to be comfortable spending some time alone. I can request one home-office day per week. Before accepting a booking, we’ll discuss my schedule and the exact time your pet would be alone to make sure it meets their needs.
I have experience giving medication to cats, especially tablets. Through my research work, I also have experience administering subcutaneous injections to other species. If your pet needs injections, please contact me beforehand so we can discuss the treatment and your vet’s instructions.
During home visits, I’ll treat your home with care, keep your keys secure and check doors and windows before leaving, following your instructions. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can stay connected with your pet.
Feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear about your pet and how I can help!
