Hi, we're Ines and Khaled, a couple in Prenzlauer Berg. One dog at a time, someone home every day, and green space at the end of the street. 20+ years with dogs between us.
Khaled grew up with big dogs, Ines with small ones, which turns out to be a good mix: not much surprises us any more. We don't have a dog of our own right now, which is honestly a large part of why we do this. It also means no other pets and no children in the flat, so your dog gets all of the attention.
One night or a few weeks, a work trip, a holiday, or just some time for yourself. Some of the dogs we have looked after recently: a dachshund, a cockapoo, a schnauzer, a Shih Tzu, a terrier, a Dalmatian, a young Bernese cross, and a fifteen-year-old who needed everything slow and quiet. We are happy to look after cats too.
Where your dog will walk
There are eight green spaces within a fifteen-minute walk of us, so the daily route changes with the weather and with whatever your dog feels like. A small park at the end of our street for the quick first round of the morning. Blankensteinpark, five hectares of birch wood and open meadow, seven minutes away, with wide paved paths that work even in the rain. Volkspark Friedrichshain, all forty-nine hectares of it, for the long weekend outing. And two fenced off-leash areas a little further out, if your dog is reliable off the lead and you are happy with that.
Nervous dogs
Twenty years means we have looked after plenty of them: dogs with separation anxiety, dogs that bark at every noise in the building, dogs that need a few days to decide we are alright. One little dachshund took a couple of hours to settle after his owner left and was completely fine after that. So if yours is anxious, barks at the door, or takes a while to trust people, just tell us. We use a long line with a dog we are still getting to know, and a calm flat with no other animals is usually exactly what those dogs need.
What the stay includes:
🐶 One family at a time. Two dogs if they are from the same household, never a dog yours does not know. And no daycare dogs while someone is boarding with us
🏠 Someone home every day. Between home office and part-time work, your dog is rarely on its own, and never for long
🚶 Several walks a day, adapted to your dog
📸 Daily report and many photos, so you never miss a moment! The pretty ones and the funny ones. Check out our gallery!
💊 Medication if your dog needs it
🧠 We follow your dog's habits, not ours
We live in a quiet flat with a lift and there is a big courtyard and Hausburgpark less than a minute from the door.
Happy to do a meet and greet first, or a video call if that is easier, and we can confirm your dates straight away. We cannot take dogs with a bite history or serious aggression.
Tell us about your dog and the dates you have in mind.
