Kia ora! Hello! 👋 I’m Lucy, a Kiwi who has been living in Berlin for the past four years. Career-wise, I’m a Product Designer and have worked in tech for around 10 years, but animals have always been a big part of my life too. I grew up with pets in New Zealand and still have a much-loved family dog back home, who I miss enormously. When I first moved to Berlin, I cared for both children and pets while getting settled, and over the past few years I’ve become a regular dog-sitter for several lovely Berlin dogs. I now have multiple owners who trust me with their pets and are happy to provide references. I love getting outdoors, going for walks, playing, and getting to know each dog’s individual personality and routine. My usual walks are around 45–60 minutes, depending on the dog’s age, energy level and needs, and I’m very happy to spend longer outside with more active dogs. I particularly enjoy walking through Berlin’s parks, green spaces and quieter neighbourhood streets, while always following whatever routes and routines your dog already knows best. For longer stays, I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding, walking, medication and sleeping routine as closely as possible. I generally wouldn’t leave a dog alone for more than around 3–4 hours, and I’m happy to discuss this beforehand depending on what your dog is used to. I’m comfortable caring for small, medium and larger dogs, provided we’re a good match and I have clear information beforehand about their temperament, routine, medical needs and any behavioural considerations. I’m also very happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before the first booking. When staying in an owner’s home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own. I keep doors and windows secure, look after keys carefully, don’t bring guests into the home, and make sure everything is left safe, tidy and as I found it. My schedule is currently quite flexible while I’m between full-time roles, so I can often accommodate weekdays, weekends and longer stays. Most importantly, I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while you’re away. If I sound like the right fit, I’d love to hear about them!
