Hi there! I’m Uta, based in Berlin-Neukölln. I speak German, English, and Swedish, and have a basic understanding of Russian, French, and Spanish.

Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I also have a bit of a green thumb, so friends often rely on me to care for their pets and plants while they’re away or dealing with important commitments.

My love for animals started early. When my family lived in Algeria in the early 1980s, I rescued an orphaned kitten from the streets. She became a beloved member of our family for three years - an incredibly clever and affectionate cat who even learned to respond when I whistled.

At 18, I moved into my first flat, which came with a resident cat, a lovely surprise! I had my first house- and pet-sitting experience, caring for my cousin’s cat, Salvador, in Prenzlauer Berg while she worked abroad. What started as a short arrangement turned into 13 wonderful years together.

I have since cared for 15 homes and pets (mostly cats, but also a fluffy bunny family with eight babies and a very friendly cockatiel) across five countries. I’m a clean, reliable, and respectful sitter who adapts easily to different households and routines. I’m also happy to follow your dietary or household preferences, whether vegan, vegetarian, or otherwise.

While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with daily messages, photos, or short videos so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for. I’m also happy to provide references upon request.
