Hi, I’m Francesca— a dual citizen of the US and Germany. I recently graduated from Tufts University in Boston, and now I am starting a part time job in Frankfurt. I have spent lots of time here because of family so I know the city well. I love working with animals and could even see this as a career! For now, I enjoy my freelance pet care with Pawshake.

I've loved animals my whole life. When I was about seven, my family adopted a border collie mix from a shelter. I thought of her like a sister. A couple years ago, we had to put her to sleep. It was heartbreaking. Caring for other pets has helped me cope with my loss, and I give them so much love. Each animal is special, and I really do become friends with each of them. Growing up, (aside from looking after dogs) I took care of our neighbor's cat, as well as the rabbits and guinea pigs that my mother's school had.

When I started using platforms like Pawshake (about 4 years ago), I met so many amazing dogs in both Europe and America! I have taken care of big dogs, tiny dogs, puppies, and elderly dogs -- a huge variety of personalities and needs. The families of these pets have been from all over, so I have even learned some commands in other languages. I was recently living with a cat, so I am excited to do more with cat sitting as well.

I'm always checking on the animals and making sure they feel comfortable. I never leave them alone for too long and I always remove any hazardous items from the house. Whether I'm at your house or walking your dog, communication is important! I will send you photos and updates and you can give me special instructions for your pet.
