Hi there!
My name is Judit Rodríguez, and I’m originally from the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. I’m currently living in Mainz, doing a Master’s in Particle Physics at JGU. While science is a big part of my life, animals have always held a very special place in my heart—they’ve shaped who I am in so many ways.

Growing up, I was surrounded by pets. We had a big garden where our rabbits could run freely, and a pond full of fish and turtles who lived with us for many years. One of my most special memories is of a little bird my dad rescued—he had fallen from his nest and his mother never came back, so we raised him ourselves. We named him Gordi, and he became part of our family until the day he learned to fly and left on his own.

Over the years, I’ve lived with and cared for several animals, including Rufino, a very sweet (but slightly aggressive!) cat we had during my high school years, and a baby kitten I looked after for a friend. But one of the most important animal companions in my life is Kira, our family dog. We adopted her almost three years ago when she was just two months old. She’s incredibly cuddly and playful, and we’ve shared countless walks and adventures in the forest near our home.

Now that I’m living in Germany, I really miss those long walks and the joy of having a furry friend around. That’s part of why I’ve joined Pawshake—I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets and give them the love, attention, and fun they deserve. Taking care of animals makes me feel a little closer to home, and I can’t wait to meet some new four-legged friends here in Mainz!

About my home: I live in a lovely home, with 3 other students. They are Lina, Caro and Tim, german medicine students in their 20s. They also love animals! We used to have a cat, Zsazsa but unfortunately she recently passed away, so we would love some extra company every now and then :) However, we don't take pets for long periods of time ❤️‍🩹 around 4-5 nights would be the maximum.
