Hi, I'm Whitney! I'm a 38-year-old American (languages: English and conversational Spanish) who recently moved to Germany. I've been an animal lover and pet owner my entire life. Two years ago, our 16-year-old cat Meatball crossed the rainbow bridge, and my husband still isn't ready to adopt another one. So, until he's ready, I'm excited for the chance to take care of your pets and love them like they were my own!

Growing up, my family had 3 cats and 2 dogs. Since then, I've always had cats of my own (rest in peace Muffin and Meatball; yes, I like food-themed names). Although I've only had cats, I also love dogs and have dog-sat for friends and family over the years, sometimes for weeks at a time.

My favorite part of petsitting is getting to know each animal's unique personality and working to meet their individual needs. For instance, I’ve cared for an anxious mixed-breed rescue named Roxanne, who required a bit more reassurance (and her emotional support tennis ball), Juneau, the mischievous Husky that wanted nothing more than to eat all the cat food, and Tammi, the English Bull Terrier who loves love a little too much. Additionally, our own cat, Meatball, was a world traveler, moving with us from the United States to the Netherlands. She required routine vet visits and hyperthyroid medication in her older age.

I work part-time, so I can accommodate walks or in-home visits according to your pet's needs. I also recognize that every pet is different, so I am ready to help where I can, for example, by caring for older pets, giving medications if required, and litter box duty. You can also expect photos of your pet while you’re away!
