Hello! My name is Camille, I am 20 years old, and I am currently studying for a Bachelor's degree in Management at ESCP. I live in Prenzlauer Berg and love animals, especially dogs. I grew up with a dog, so I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, caring, and responsible to look after your pet. I have had my own dog for six years, and I have also been looking after my neighbors’ Golden Retriever in France for several years whenever they are away. I am reliable, responsible, patient, and caring, and I understand how important it is to respect each dog’s habits and make them feel safe and comfortable. Daily routine and walks My routine depends on each dog’s needs and usual schedule, but I generally plan 3–4 walks per day. The first walk is usually around 8 a.m., shortly after waking up, followed by another around midday or in the afternoon (4–5 p.m.), and a final walk around 9 p.m. before bedtime. However, I always adapt to the dog’s usual routine with its family, as some dogs are accustomed to going out at 7 a.m., while others are used to walking around 10 a.m. There is a park just a five-minute walk from my apartment, where I would usually take the dog for walks of around 20 minutes, depending on its needs and the owner’s preferences. Meals and settling in I follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding times and portions. Meals generally consist of dry food once or twice a day, depending on the dog’s usual routine. I can also offer one or two treats, with the owner’s permission, to help the dog build trust with me and feel comfortable in my apartment, especially if it feels nervous in a new environment. Home visits My home visits usually last between 30 minutes and two hours, depending on the owner's preferences and the dog's needs. During each visit, I can provide fresh water, feed the dog according to the owner's instructions, take it outside for a short walk or a toilet break, and spend time playing with it using its favorite toys, such as soft plush toys or balls. I also enjoy giving dogs attention and affection to help them feel happy and comfortable while their owners are away. If necessary, I can clean up any mess and make sure the dog is safe and comfortable before I leave. I am happy to adapt each visit to the dog's routine and the owner's specific instructions. Time alone and reliability When I have classes, the dog would be left alone for a maximum of four hours, and potentially less if I know it is uncomfortable being alone. I would always take the dog’s individual needs and any separation anxiety into consideration when planning my schedule. I take my responsibilities seriously and understand that every dog is different. I will follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep them informed, and make sure their dog receives the attention, care, exercise, and affection it needs throughout its stay.
