Hi! I'm Abby :) I grew up in a very animal-loving family with cats, fish, birds, and many dogs. My family bred Labrador Retrievers for show, so caring for animals has been part of my everyday life since I was young. I helped raise litters, trained, groomed, cuddled, and even handled dogs in the show ring myself (I’m retired now 🙂). Growing up around show dogs taught me how to read animal behaviour carefully and respond calmly to different personalities.

Alongside the dogs, I also grew up with cats and love their independent and sometimes sassy nature. I respect the level of closeness each cat is comfortable with and enjoy building trust at their pace. I have cared for many breeds over the years including Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Dobermans, Yorkshire Terriers, Beagles, Kintamani, and Basenjis, as well as street dogs and mixed breeds. I have also owned and cat-sat street cats, Bengals, and Persians.

I am comfortable administering medication to both dogs and cats and have experience with puppies, senior pets, and high-energy personalities.

At the moment I do not have a pet of my own, so I truly miss the companionship animals bring. Pet sitting allows me to stay connected to that joy. On my days off your pet will have my full attention, whether that means long walks (usually two to three per day), park time, play, enrichment, or simply relaxed company at home.

I usually host only one pet at a time (unless they are from the same household) so they receive calm, personalised attention. Since I do not currently have pets of my own, there is also no contamination risk.

I always follow each pet’s routine carefully, including medication, feeding schedules, allergies, and any specific habits that help them feel comfortable. Every animal is different, so I adapt my care to suit their needs.

I’m happy to send photo updates so you know your pet is happy and cared for while you’re away. I’m also always glad to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so you and your pet can feel completely comfortable.
