Hi, I’m a marine biology PhD student at the Leibniz Institute in Warnemünde. I travel for work so I can’t have a pet of my own, but I aways miss having animals around. I grew up with cats and dogs, and as a teen I looked after my neighbors’ pets to help fund my studies. Animals have been part of my life forever, and I treat every guest like family.

I live in Lichtenhagen with fields right outside for off-leash runs, and the beach is only 10 minutes away. My balcony is cat-proofed so cats can safely enjoy fresh air, and if your cat is leash-trained I’m happy to take them out too.

A typical day with your pet: For dogs, we start with a walk in the fields before I head to work. I can bring your dog to my office by the beach, so on my lunch break we’ll head to the sand or nearby park for a run. After work we do a longer walk again, either along the beach or back in the fields so they’re tired and happy at bedtime. For cats, I can shift my work hours to do half the day from my office and half from home, so they get company, playtime, and balcony time.
