Hi all dog & cat guardians!

My name is Camilla and I'm offering to take your furry friend for walks or look after them at your home.

I'm 39 years old from Sweden and I've been living in Berlin since 5 years. Currently work in logistics, but I have recently began my path towards becoming a professional dog trainer. I have always been a true animal lover, but dogs have a special place in my heart 🐶

I'm a proud dog mom to a 9 year old German shepherd/Labrador mix who I love dearly. My dog Max is a rescue that came to me with reactivity issues (mostly towards other dogs), which we have made great progress working on together. Though he will probably never be the dog I take to the dog park (and that's ok 😉) he is ok with most female dogs. He is one of the reasons I want to work with dogs and learn more about dog behavior!

Dog reactivity is so much more than just barking or pulling on the leash, it's a complex mental health condition that affects both dogs and their owners. I strongly believe in training with positive reinforcement and addressing the dogs fear instead of just suppressing it with obedience. Suppressed communication often leads to unwanted behaviour. 

I grew up with dogs in my family home and people around me often tell me that I have a good connection with animals. When I previously lived in Stockholm I used to work as a dog walker/pet sitter during College and loved helping my friend's out with their dogs.

I'm comfortable walking up to 4 dogs in a group, but I'm always taking precautions and make sure the dynamic between all the dogs is good before I agree to it. I do slow introductions, and for me it's important that a dog can be neutral around other dogs to be able to add them into a group walk.

Please note:

- Overnight house sitting charge is for a period of max 12 hours. Includes walks, feeding and playtime. 

- Daytime house sitting (at pet owners house) charge is for a period of max 10 hours. Includes walks, feeding and playtime. 

- Walks are approximately 30 - 40 minutes. I offer morning and/or afternoon walks. 

- Drop-ins are approximately 20 - 30 minutes and includes feeding, cleaning of litterboxes and playtime.

- Meet & greet is mandatory before any confirmed bookings.

- Though I'm happy to integrate some loose leash walking and obedience training on walks, it's important that your dog has some kind of leash training beforehand. 

- I only have possibility to care for (housesit 24h care) dogs with separation anxiety for a maximum period of 4 days. For longer sittings the dog needs to be able to be alone for a couple of hours since I have other obligations too. I never leave a dog alone longer than 4 hours, usually it's a lot shorter. 

- I cover Spandau and parts of West Berlin.
