Animals deserve more than 30 minutes 🐾

About Carrie
Hey, I’m Carrie! 🐾
I can honestly say that I’ve spent more time with animals than with humans in my lifetime, and I wouldn’t change that for anything. 🤍 I stay with animals a minimum of 1.5 hours per visit (not just 30 minutes), unless you specifically request otherwise.
I’m not just someone who refills bowls and leaves. I’m a caretaker, companion, and trainer if needed. I would never set a timer for animals. I stay based on how the interaction is unfolding and what your pet actually needs in that moment. Calm presence matters. So does patience. And yes, your plants will be in good hands too. 🪴💚
In my regular job I do something entirely different, which is exactly why working with animals is so important to me.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve lived with and cared for a wide variety of species and personalities, in all stages of life, from babies to elderly and, sadly, terminally ill animals. Caring for animals is not something I learned. It’s something that comes very naturally to me, and animals tend to sense that quickly.
I’ll talk to your animal friends in English 🇺🇸, German 🇩🇪, or Spanish 🇪🇸 — and to you as well, of course, in whichever language you prefer.
I currently live with two wonderfully different adopted cats, who originally had other owners and very different beginnings.
About visits and services:
The PawShake 30-minute (or 2×30-minute) option exists, but realistically, 30 minutes is rarely enough 💔. What I actually do during a visit is whatever your pet needs, which usually includes:
– cleaning bowls, litter boxes, or pads
– cleaning play areas and basic apartment areas (yes, I genuinely like leaving homes clean)
– replacing or refilling dry and/or wet food
– giving treats (if allowed)
– playtime, enrichment, or daily training routines
– walks or toilet breaks if needed
– quiet, respectful presence for shy or sensitive animals
You’ll receive at least 15 photos and videos per visit, plus live message updates as soon as I enter your flat and throughout the visit. Video calls are absolutely possible too. You’re also welcome to keep your pet cam on the whole time if that gives you peace of mind.
🚨
Important booking note:
If you need one long visit of up to 4–5 hours (depending on location), please book 2 visits per day.
For anything longer (for example half-day stays), please choose the 24-hour house sitting option.
Transport up to 1.5 hrs return is included in the rate.
🚨
I also offer free animal photography of your pet(s). I’m slowly growing a personal portfolio and love capturing animals as they truly are. If you’re interested, just mention it — this can happen during visits or during a separate meeting. 📷🖤
I’m always happy to meet in person before booking, answer questions, or arrange a home visit. I know how stressful it can feel to leave your animal in someone else’s care, and I take that trust seriously.
And yes — plants. 🪴
Before Zinty (cat no. 1) joined my life, plants were my babies. I once had over 100 indoor and outdoor plants and regularly grew fruits and vegetables on my terrace. I have fewer now, but the same care and attention. I’m a plant lover and observer and tend to grow things based on instinct and experience. And I’m of course very happy to care for your plants according to their individual needs.
Love,
Carrie 🖤
