About Justine
Hi, I'm Justine, a second-year university student in London and a huge animal lover. Although I wasn't allowed to have a pet growing up, I was always surrounded by animals through family and friends. Being so close to having a pet but never quite having one only made my heart grow fonder for them. As a student, I find it difficult to have a pet of my own, which is one of the reasons I love pet sitting. It allows me to spend time with wonderful animals while helping owners feel at ease when they are away.
I have experience caring for cats and am comfortable following feeding schedules, administering medication, and adapting to each pet's individual needs. During my time pet sitting, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention and care while keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages, so they can relax knowing their furry friend is doing well.
In the past, I looked after my best friend's cat, Izzy, for two weeks while she was away on holiday. I can assure you that Izzy quickly made himself the king of the house for those 14 days. Every morning, he confidently woke everyone up at 6 a.m. and demanded breakfast. We followed his usual routine, giving him dry food in the morning and wet food for lunch and dinner. Izzy also has epilepsy, so I administered his medication every lunchtime. To help my friend feel reassured while she was away, I sent daily photos and updates so she could see how he was getting on.
I have also spent time caring for my sister's cat, Curly. Through looking after both cats, I learned how important it is to adapt to each animal's unique personality. Izzy is quite timid and prefers a calm environment, so I would make sure to keep noise to a minimum and let him approach me on his own terms. Curly, on the other hand, loves attention and is always happy to be the center of it.
I understand that every pet is different, and I believe good pet care means adapting to their routine, personality, and comfort level. Whether your pet loves constant attention or prefers their own space, I will do my best to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I would be delighted to look after your pet and give them all the care and attention they deserve.
During my visits, I am happy to feed pets, refresh water bowls, clean litter trays, administer medication if required, and spend quality time playing with them or simply keeping them company. I understand that some pets can be shy or nervous around new people, so I always take the time to let them become comfortable at their own pace. I am currently quite flexible during the summer and can provide regular updates and photos throughout my visits so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.
