About Kelly
Hi! I'm Kelly!
Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family got our first dog when I was 2 years old, and back home in the US we currently have three dogs who I miss constantly. Growing up around dogs taught me from an early age how important patience, consistency, attention, and affection are when caring for animals.
I started pet sitting for neighbors when I was 12 years old and have continued caring for dogs ever since through walks, overnight stays, drop-ins, house sitting, and day care. I’m also the designated “dog auntie” for many of my friends’ dogs and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality, routines, and quirks.
I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and needs, from energetic younger dogs to senior dogs who require extra patience and support. One of the dogs I cared for was a 16-year-old Golden Retriever who needed help being carried outside and hand-fed during meals, so I understand the importance of gentle care and consistency with older dogs. I’ve also looked after reactive dogs and know how to stay calm, redirect attention, and manage walks carefully around other dogs and busy environments.
I know every owner has different routines, training styles, and expectations for their dog, and I’m always happy to follow those closely. Whether your dog needs structure, exercise, extra patience, medication, or simply companionship, I take the time to understand what makes them feel safest and happiest.
Beyond personal experience, my dad also runs a dog adventure business, so whenever I’m home in the US I help him out and have gained hands-on experience with dog handling, group walks, behavior, and basic training techniques. Through this, I’ve become very comfortable reading dogs’ body language and adapting to different temperaments and energy levels.
I moved to Munich about a year ago and am currently learning German. I’m still at an A2 level, but I really want to improve, so dog walking and pet sitting feels like the perfect opportunity to spend more time exploring the city, meeting people, and doing something I genuinely enjoy.
I currently work remotely as a freelancer and have a flexible schedule, which means I can give dogs plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also know how important trust and communication are when leaving your pet with someone, so I always make it a priority to send regular updates and photos so owners feel comfortable and reassured.
For me, this isn’t just about earning extra income. I genuinely miss having dogs in my everyday life and love creating a calm, caring, and safe environment where dogs feel comfortable, happy, and loved.
