I provide consent-based care and enjoy getting to know each individual dog: their quirks, negotiation strategies, love languages, mortal enemies, and very strongly held opinions about what we need to be sniffing next. I pay attention to their body language and preferences and like to build a friendship based on trust, safety and clear communication.

I grew up with a golden retriever and later volunteered at an animal shelter. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of different sizes, energy levels, temperaments, ages and rescue backgrounds, including senior and visually impaired dogs and dogs with separation anxiety. I’m comfortable adapting to different needs around touch, exercise, food and interactions with other animals, and I take the responsibility of caring for someone else’s dog very seriously.

I’m an artist and work freelance, mostly from home, so my schedule is quite flexible. Animals also turn up quite a lot in my work, so canine thinking is endlessly fascinating to me. Regular walks and runs are part of my enrichment too, so I always appreciate the company.

For boarding and daycare, I live in a spacious two-floor flat in Mitte with a flatmate who also loves dogs and is mostly away during the day. Dogs have plenty of space to settle at their own pace and a calm place to retreat to. I also have access to a securely fenced Schrebergarten, where I can work on my laptop while they investigate all the new smells. I can crate dogs if that is what they are accustomed to, but otherwise they are free to make themselves at home. I’m used to caring for dogs who aren’t left alone and can provide near-constant care.

For house sitting, I can work from your home during the day and follow your dog’s established routine for walks, meals, play and rest. Walks can be adapted to their age and energy level, from a relaxed sniffari to a longer, more active outing. Drop-in visits can include feeding, fresh water, oral medication where required, toilet breaks or a walk, play, cuddles and company.

I love playtime and long, sniffy walks, but I’m equally happy to provide quiet company and downtime. I let the dog’s level of comfort with me determine how much cuddling is welcome.

Before a booking, I like to learn about your dog’s usual routine and personality, any boundaries or triggers, feeding and walking schedule, medication needs, recall and leash habits, relationship with other dogs, and the commands or cues they reliably respond to. The more I know about their particularities, the easier it is for me to make them feel at home and cared for.
