I’ve grown up around dogs and currently have a 2-year-old rescue dog who is very well-behaved and friendly towards both people and other dogs. He’s naturally curious about other animals, such as cats and rabbits, but has never shown any aggression towards people or animals. 😊

Having adopted a rescue dog, I have firsthand experience with dogs who need a little extra patience, attention and consistent training.

My dog is comfortable travelling on public transport and in cars, and actually enjoys it! So if your furry friend needs some help getting used to these situations, I’d be happy to help.

I’ve previously looked after dogs and cats for friends, including home visits while their owners were away and overnight stays at my place.

A little about my home and surroundings 🏡

I live in an apartment without a lift, so unfortunately I may not be able to accommodate larger pets with mobility issues, especially those who use a wheelchair or need assistance with stairs. However, I’m happy to welcome smaller pets who need extra support, as long as I can safely carry them up and down the stairs.

I’m also lucky to live close to a forest, which is perfect for lovely walks and outdoor adventures! 🐕 Walks can be on or off-leash, depending on your dog’s recall, behaviour, your preferences and local regulations. Safety always comes first!

Daily routine, walks & company 🐕

My own dog gets around 2–2.5 hours of walks every day, usually split into three outings: around 30 minutes in the morning, 1–1.5 hours in the afternoon, and another 30 minutes in the evening.

Of course, I’m happy to adapt the duration and intensity of walks to your pet’s age, energy level and individual needs.

I frequently work from home, which means your furry friend will have plenty of company, attention and care throughout the day. Whether they enjoy cuddles, playtime or simply relaxing nearby, they’ll have someone around for most of the day!

As a general rule, I don’t leave pets alone for more than 3 hours, and I always try to adapt my schedule to their individual needs and routines.

Other pets & compatibility

I usually only accept one additional pet at a time, so I can provide plenty of individual attention and maintain a calm, comfortable environment. However, I’m happy to welcome more than one pet if they come from the same family and are used to living together.

As I have my own dog, it’s important that visiting dogs are comfortable and sociable around other dogs when they’ll be sharing the same space. I’m always happy to arrange a meet & greet beforehand to make sure everyone gets along and feels comfortable.

If your pet needs some alone time or is comfortable staying home by themselves, I can also take my own dog out with me to give them some space and avoid unnecessary stress.

Medication & special care 💊

I have personal experience administering medication, including tablets and drops, as well as cleaning and caring for minor wounds.

I’m comfortable helping with these needs, provided your pet is cooperative and comfortable being handled. I always prioritise their well-being and would never force an animal into a stressful situation.

I’m also happy to follow your pet’s usual routines and any specific care instructions you provide.

I know how important it is to feel reassured when leaving your furry friend in someone else’s care. That’s why I’m happy to send regular updates, photos and messages, so you can see how your pet is doing and enjoy your time away with peace of mind.
