Hiii everyone, my name is Ilke and I'm a 26 year old Master's student (almost graduate). I always wanted to adopt either a dog or a cat because I feel like I have a unique connection with them but due to my parents allergies and living in an apartment, it was not possible 🥲. That's why in the summer of 2020 when a friend of a friend needs someone to take care of his dogs I volunteered so quickly that I might even surprise him with my enthusiasm 😂 Although it was my first time professionally pet-sitting it was a great success and he asked me again and again to both home-sit and take care of the dogs (one very old lady named Kika and the other is super energetic 2 years old very good boy named Lampo ⚡️) while he was away. The dogs only knew Italian (because the owner was Italian 😂) so I had to actually learn a couple of words but also teach them some basic commands. Kika was 14 years old and in 2021 just a little after she turned 15, one of her eyes had to be removed due to severe infection. During that time I took care of her and handle the eye drops and lotions while the owner was away. I dog-sit them until 2023 September before I move here.

After that I pet-sit for 3 other people (they had all dogs and I stayed in their houses during). Pera was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he was 8 months old when I take care of him for a week, Mars was a Toy Poodle and I pet-sit him when he was 3,5 and 9 months old and also after he turned 1, and lastly Muffin was a Maltese, she was almost 3 years old and had severe eczema's 🥺. So I know how to handle both large and small breeds. I also had couple of friends with cats, and I think it's safe to say I am in love with both dogs and cats at this point, you can see me with them in the pictures 😅

I know it must be a struggle to find someone to trust enough because it requires for you to left your pets(fur babies 🥹) with a stranger and that's why recommendations and apps like Pawshake are super important. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any, thanks a lot! 🙃
