International pet-sitter extraordinaire, with eight years of experience. I've taken care of pets in three continents/countries (USA, Chile, Japan) and I am looking to add Germany to that list.

Background:

For the past eight years, I have walked dogs and pet sit (cat and dog) in addition to taking care of my own dog, an elderly, three-legged hound named Ellie. I started pet sitting as a graduate student to get a break from the academic grind. I've mainly looked after older dogs (8-13 years) who require medicine and some special care. More recently I have walked and pet-sit younger dogs (1-2 years old) and learned about handling more energetic pups. In the past year, I have also pet sit several cats while working I Japan. Overall, I'm an experienced pet sitter and dog owner, especially to older pets who might need a little extra care and attention.

What I offer now:

I moved to Germany recently and I am working on my dissertation. As a result, I am at home a lot and have a flexible schedule to walk dogs, do home visits, or even to allow dogs to stay over for the day or evening. I am happy to travel within/near Bonn, though, to walk your dog on more a familiar route or to give your pet a home visit.

Doggy daycare/boarding: My apartment is pet friendly and I have lots of green space (though only on-leash since it is not enclosed). I also have easy access to numerous walking trails nearby. Though your dog will have to be accustomed to apartment living.
