Hi! My name is María José, and I’m from Colombia. I’m a political scientist currently pursuing my Master’s in Latin American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.

I’ve always shared my life with animals, especially cats. I grew up surrounded by them and feel they’re truly magical creatures. At home in Colombia, I have my beloved Siamese cat Bastet. She’s very spoiled, a little sassy, and definitely an attention seeker. We adopted her during the pandemic, and she has a very special bond with my mom, that’s why I decided not to bring her to Germany. She’s happy and deeply loved back home.

I’m a calm, patient, and responsible person who enjoys reading and writing, ideally with a furry friend nearby.

I also absolutely love dogs! I grew up at my grandmother’s house, where there were always dogs around. I have a special fondness for dachshunds and labradors, because they remind me of Linda and Matías, my grandma’s dogs, who filled our lives with happiness and love.
