About Igor
Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who has grown up with dogs and cared for them from a young age.
About a year and a half ago, I adopted a rescued mixed Jack Russell. He is very energetic, intelligent, and well trained, and living with him has given me daily, hands-on experience with high-energy breeds, structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
I regularly take part in structured group walks with around 15 dogs led by a professional dog coach. This has helped me develop a strong understanding of dog behaviour, body language, socialisation, and safety in group settings. I’m confident handling dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels — from playful and active dogs to calmer or more sensitive ones — always adapting my approach to each dog’s individual needs and boundaries.
Friends often trust me to look after their dogs for daycare or overnight stays, and I always care for them as if they were my own. Safety is my top priority: dogs are never left unsupervised, walks are done on leash unless otherwise agreed, and introductions are managed carefully to ensure a calm and positive environment. I strictly follow owners’ instructions regarding feeding, routines, training preferences, and medication if needed.
I live in an apartment without a yard, which means dogs get plenty of outdoor time instead. Our days are structured around regular walks: a long walk in the morning, another big walk in the afternoon, and additional shorter potty breaks throughout the day. Walks include park time, sniffing, play, and mental stimulation. At home, dogs can expect a calm, clean, and dog-friendly space with time to rest and relax.
My wife works part-time from home, which means there is often an extra pair of eyes and support if needed, adding another layer of supervision and care throughout the day. I also come from a family with strong dog experience: my mother-in-law was a Golden Retriever dog shows coach, which has given me valuable exposure to structured training, handling, and responsible dog care.
At the moment, I have full schedule flexibility, allowing me to focus entirely on the dogs in my care. Whether for boarding or daycare, pet owners can expect close supervision, clear communication, regular updates, and peace of mind knowing their dog is safe, exercised, mentally stimulated, and genuinely cared for..
